added this to our Itinerary at the last minute. Tours are pricey at $27.00 per person, it was $8.00 per person just to walk around the grounds. Parts of the structure were under renovation, so some scaffolding was visible, but with a little creative picture taking you can block out the unwanted parts and still take some good pictures.

A fun stop. We spent a few minutes taking photos.

There were ground wasps flying about while we were there, so you should take caution in approaching the Acorn.

A very sobering place when you stop and think about what truly happened here. Well worth the stop, what they have built so far is really amazing.

We used Google Earth to find this before actually going there, so we knew where it was. A good photo stop just to get out of the car for a few minutes.

A very nice building and inside displays. We got there mid-day and the Elk were not out anywhere near the trails.

We only did the Overlook trail this trip. some of the trees could use a little pruning to get better scenic pictures, this is definitely a "Fall Color Change" stop.

They need to make a parking area for this. It is difficult to drive in traffic and look at the fence.

Easy to get to, can take a picture from the road or in the parking lot.
