I think this is the best bang for your buck adventure. The kids (9,10,14) and I had a blast over spring break finding hermit crabs in the shallow waters in the bay. Next we watched the dolphins swimming in the teal blue water. Finally boating over to a cove, snorkeling and playing on the beach. Destin Snorkel provided all the gear and soft drinks. I would highly suggest bring a snack for everyone in your party. This was a great half day event for the family.

Stayed two nights and we thought the place has antiquated charm to it. The kids, not quite wore out by digging a Creator of Diamonds, burn off their last bit of steam on the water slide and pool. Room was quite large and the AC ran great. No cell reception in the area which to some might be a plus for some. Breakfast was fruit and pastries which did find for the hot day’s weather. Try Los Agaves just up the road for some good Mexican cooking. We enjoyed our stay.

What a great way to spend the day. Our 10 & under loved digging in the dirt and mud. Two diamonds were found the day we were there, but not by us. Bummer. However, we enjoyed the hunt. Stayed at the Shamrock and had dinner at Los Agaves.
