Everything looks like a postcard. You can't look anywhere without wanting to pull out your camera to take a picture. For the avid hiker who finds Longs Peak to be too much of a challenge, try Hallett Peak because it's a bit easier.
It's like an amazing alien landscape as far as the eyes can see. It's hard to actually believe what your eyes are seeing when you visit for the first time. Bring water, sunscreen, comfy shoes, and a sense of adventure! Oh yeah, and your camera!
You would never know that this amazingly beautiful theater is right int he middle of Lexington. You can see everything from bands, to games, to lectures by some of the coolest authors, artists, and musicians. Love it here.
So much fun. They've honestly got exhibits for kids and parents so if you want to go your separate ways you totally can. Make sure you visit the suitcases exhibit that will be open till the end of the fall. It's over 400 suitcases recovered from Willard Hospital that once belonged to inmates well over 60 years ago. It's amazing.
This is my favorite drive in the country. It doesn't matter what the season is (although I prefer the fall) it is quite possibly one of the most scenic and beautiful views. Make sure not to try to get through the mountains at night because you'll miss out on seeing all the gorgeousness!
One of the strangest and most beautiful places in the country. There's something so special about this park, it's almost hard to explain how cool a place it is. If you have the chance, you absolutely have to visit.
Exactly what you want when you roll into a town at 8am looking for a coffee. It's also just a great place to come and spend an afternoon with a coffee, your favorite book and your ipod.
They make a BLT that will blow your mind! I usually get mine without the bacon, and with fries and that makes pretty much the perfect diner meal.
Whaley house is supposed to be SUPER haunted. For years people have reported hearing the sound of really loud footsteps stomping up and down the stairs. There's usually tons of ghost hunts that are hosted here so it's not hard to take part in a paranormal investigation.
Gorgeous and pretty typical west coast beach... in other words, it rains a lot so come prepared. If you love Goonies (and of course you do) you'll also want to snap some pics! On a sunny warm day it's also a great place for a picnic. But as Tatiana pointed out there aren't a lot of trash cans so clean up after yourself!
