Crown access tickets were sold out online about 3 months ahead of time :( we got pedestal access, which gave us a small glimpse of what you could see from up in the crown. Amazing place to visit, especially coupled with a trip to Ellis island.
National campground was great. Wildlife abundant. Had a great day on the beach with the kids. We saw horses on over 5 separate occasions without seeking them. I would love to camp here again!
I stayed here twice in one trip as a midway point between Maine and Maryland. The first room was disgusting. It was late so I just requested more linens and didn't bother trying to get another room. The second time staying on the way back, we got a room in better condition. The waterpark is nice, but they need more tubes for the waterslides or someone to regulate it better.
The staff was great- friendly and helpful from the front desk to the maintenance guy I passed by in the morning. The room and bathroom were small, but clean. All we needed for a quick stay spent at the boardwalk. Literally across the street from the boardwalk!
Cool place to go if you're in to this sort of thing. Even our 6 and 8 year old liked it.
