This is a WRONG location again. There is already a marker for Bog River --- a distance away from this. And THAT is where the falls are. Ignore this marker, it's worthless.
Wrong location on map as the city pier sticks into the lake extended from south Main Street - about a 3/4 west of where Roadtrippers places the marker. The boat houses are colorful and make for some really nice photos.
This is location is popping up on a pin at Penn State University in State College. There is no Bubbalou's in State College, PA that I'm aware of - it is a small chain in Florida (with tasty BBQ and amazing sauces, I might add).
Your website link is wrong - it links to Fort Loudoun in Tennessee. Here is the correct link: http://www.fortloudounpa.com
There's really not much to see of the original town anymore. Only one or two buildings actually remain. The streets are intact, as is the firehouse and on some back paths, a shed or two. The most impressive thing to see is the old 4 lane highway that used to lead to Centralia from the south; it is now wavy and has lengthy fissures with steam coming out of them. It is now bypassed but still accessible. If you are approaching from the south, the highway takes a quick turn to the right. Beyond the dirt piles on the far side of the turn lies the old highway.
