We travel from AL to Orlando yearly and I am always on the look out for family fun places to stop in between. This is a great place and a must do. The park is great and has different swimming holes. There is a gift shop to purchase items and rent gear. We didn't know what to expect and was so happy to find this shop. We were able to purchase some masks and vest for snorkeling.
We visited in July and the water was cool to cold, but worth it. There was a great place to snorkel and see a little underwater cavern. You can also tube the river. I believe there is also hiking. We did not see anyone drinking and partying or acting ugly. This was very family friendly. We will be stopping again and planning on staying longer.

Enjoyed this stop. This was easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. It is in the middle of an urban area.
You walk into a beautiful meadow of sorts with the giant tree. We explored the grounds, walked the paths, admires the trees and plants, and walk the labyrinth. The cottage was closed and locked so we were not able to explore inside. The grounds were peaceful and easy to image a world of fairies.

Great state park. We stopped on our trip from Florida to Alabama.
We explored the nature trails, played on the play ground, and found the suspension bridge. The restrooms were clean.
Not too far off the interstate. We will stop here again.

Great museum. Not very large but well worth the visit. They have a ship and you can walk “inside” to see how pirates live.
There are lots of fun facts.

We walked here from
Cruise port. Small and interesting fort. Glad we visited. Awesome views
Cost $3.00 per person. Around the fort is a small shopping type are. There is also an indoor restroom facility close by. We then had a cab take us to Junkanoo beach for $16.00.

This was a great stop for the family. We took our two children and enjoyed the cave tour. The tour was great for us. Lots of formations to see. We had a fun tour guide. The tour isn't too long so it was perfect for younger kids and still plenty to see and walk thru.
After the cave tour we took the bluff trail back to the car. This is a bit of a long trail with small kids. It also has lots of rocks jutting out and tripping potential. It was very beautiful walk thru vegetation and next to a swampy/marsh area. We ended at the parking lot and had a lunch at the picnic tables.

Be sure to wear tennis shoes and bring big spray. They do sell big spray in gift shop as well.
