Although our trip was cut short due to a storm, the trip was fantastic! The captains were friendly, professional, and full of interesting information about the area and wildlife. They clearly love what they do and enjoy sharing it with others. No sooner had we boarded the boat when two dolphins appeared in the bay - and that was just the beginning. We ventured out to a local shrimp boat where the dolphins were "hanging out" for their next meal: truly an amazing experience for all on board.
Beautiful view, great service, and excellent food. We had shrimp & grits, sirloin steak & blackened shrimp (surf 'n turf), fried shrimp and chicken fingers - all were absolutely delicious. The service was fast and friendly.
I planned a white water rafting/train excursion for my family during Labor Day weekend, and it was amazing! The email communications included tips, directions, and packing checklists. Someone even called us the week prior to let us know the roads would be blocked off by 9:15 for the Labor Day Parade. The check-in took two minutes, and the staff were impeccable. Our group was split in two, and both our guides were funny, friendly, and most if all, knowledgable of rafting and the Nantahala River. My husband, who usually hates these trips, had so much fun that he not said he'd do it again, but he also volunteered to sit up front!
