We came here in 2020… and had to stop again! It’s so weird!! I love it!
Well we finally found it! It was moved to the other side of town! But all that’s left of it is a sign next to a donkey cut out.
What??!! It’s a real motel still!! You can stay there tonight if you wanted!!!
We couldn’t, but I now have it on my bucket list!!

Wow!! It is much prettier then I remembered! We came with the family, the switch backs were a bit much because it was raining outside and so our shoes were wet.
Once we got past that… it was a better trail/walk.
Its crazy how this developed over the years!

I’m so bummed we got here so late!! We all love slug bugs and couldn’t wait to see it, but roadwork and potty breaks… well it didn’t happen!

Oh YES!! Pull over, go see this!! It is really cool!! We loved it!! There is funky bathrooms, is this where the “family” bathroom idea came from? Two toilets side by side with no stall in between??!!
You can’t swim in the water anymore, but you still can go up into the head of the whale and climb up on the whale tail!!
There was a plaque that said… “Roses are Red, Whales are Blue” I forgot to take that picture, but it made me chuckle!

Cool little place! Everyone liked the totem pole! If I was more prepared I would have brought lunch! There’s tables, benches and a porta potty.
