The carousel bar is very cool and there is also some hip art on the walls, unfortunately, it was largely populated by bourgeois chumps. We stopped here, took some pictures and then turned around and left because in the two minutes we were there, we ran into two incredibly rude people, probably hiding in their pricy hotel because they were too scared to venture onto Bourbon St. Make it a daytime photo stop, head to Jean Lafitte's Piano Bar for your nighttime fix.
Stellar stop! It cost me $5 to park a van and trailer with 14 people inside and all of us got to enjoy it. The water is brisk, clear and amazing! There were lifeguards on duty when I was there but they didn't enforce any rules about jumping, running or anything like that. Lastly, there is a nice building with bathrooms you can use.
