Must see! In the middle of nowhere so be prepared. Neat campground area. Hot and dry in the summer. Loved it
Neat place for a scenic walk. Expect to spend an hour or 2. Nearby there are some cool things to see in Richmond. Hollywood cemetery (yes - A MUST SEE), Maymont house and gardens, etc..
It is a MALL - a HUGE mall with LOTS of shops - food court, etc... BUT there is a small amusement park inside. I am not a mall person but had to see it for myself since it is world famous. It was really neat to see for about 2 hours but I had to get out of there since it is just a mall with an amusement park after all....
So much more to see in the area - but a must drive by. Custer state park nearby, Rushmore nearby, pigtail bridges and eye of the needle tunnels, spearfish canyon drive, etc...
If you are a collector or love nostalgia it is a must do - expect to spend an hour or 2.
MUST SEE - short but somewhat challenging hike but worth it. There is a charge to come in even in the off season. You will not regret the price for the memories it will leave.
(Free) A MUST SEE when in the area - A short easy hike from the parking lot - bring water and sunscreen - expect to hang out in awe for a while - good place to bring a picnic lunch.
VERY nice park - do the rim trail for a great easy hike with super views. Ride the bus and save time and effort. A must do when making the loop around Utah - make sure to catch Zion and the north rim of Grand Canyon if you get this far south.
What can you say - it is Yellowstone! - Lots of easy short easy hikes to interesting natural features, easy park roads that allow you to drive to the trail heads, wild life everywhere, water falls, rivers, mountain views, etc.. Surrounding area has lots of attractions as well - quake lake, Virginia City, Nevada City, Vortex, etc.. You could spend a month here and the surrounding area...
Nice park for an overnight stay when passing through. Did not have enough time to see it all.
