Very neat place. The tourist part lives the cabin used in Longmire, we actually have a family history around a different cabin from the early 1900s. Rangers were super friendly, it’s worth driving to after Bandelier.
Loved it! Great hike for all ages, the Alcove house is fun for kids 10+ and a very different type of experience with all those ladders. Really enjoyed hiking the canyon. Will be back
It’s quite basic, gravel only, and you’re pretty much just in a square, very few trees or anything unique. Playground is very basic. Bathrooms are kind of dirty, but useable.
It’s beautiful inside, and the history is awesome. For our kidsit was worth the visit and admission cost. But it’s a quick stop, if you have little kids who need to be entertained, this won’t do it.
Really cool place, views are amazing. The easy hike into Mesa Arch is friendly for all ages and worth doing. Many of the overlooks are great for kids as well.
The sunset at the Dead Horse Point is truly awesome. Highly recommend it. It's worth the $20 price of admission alone.
Truly breathtaking. The hike up to Delicate arch is one you'll never forget. It's steep in a few spots but our kids (7-10-12) did it with no issues. I even made it with a pulled hamstring that hadn't yet healed. Totally worth it. An underrated Arch is Sand Dune arch. Super kid friendly, easy hike, but take your shoes off after you pass through the narrow entry way, it's worth it to feel the beautiful sand.
This was beautiful and breathtaking, the entire area really is. We went way out of our way to see it, and I wouldn't do that again, but if it's anywhere close to on your route, it's worth seeing.
Beautiful park, a wonderful little stop to stretch the legs and see some beautiful scenery.
Really enjoyed this, the ability to drive through and see and read everything was great to go at your own speed. The kids did get bored towards the end though
