This place is enormous. More than 600 sites! But despite the size, it feels comfortable. Probably because it's heavily wooded. All back in sites or cabins. Tent camping too. Only 5 minute drive to Mackinac City with regular ferries to Mackinac Island.
An off the path campground in an off the path town. Both are great! This KOA's at the end of a dead end road in the middle of the woods. Only here for a couple nights but got a chance to head out along the River Road Biway and check out Lumberman's Monument. It's way up on a hill with a killer view through the trees. If you don't mind steps, take a walk down to see the waterfalls built by the lumbermen out of logs.
Camping in the woods and only a couple miles from the town of Green Lake. Sites range from back ins adjacent to a small lake to pull throughs that easily fit my 40 foot diesel pusher. It's early June and midweek most of the camp is empty but it fills up on weekends. A small, no cost, par 3 golf course is onsite. For "white tablecloth" dining, try Norton's (only open for dinner). In the town of Green Lake, try the Gooseblind for good burgers and sandwiches.
In the hills overlooking Las Cruces, this KOA site has great views and a nice breeze. Sites are a combo of concrete and gravel. Concept is RV wheels go on the concrete strips, gravel for the picnic table. A very peaceful location. I'd stay here again.
Nice KOA park freeway close. Off season now (5/15) so no big crowds but it's the first KOA campground I've run into with an on sight restaurant. Big sites, great pool, friendly people. I'd stay there again.
Only downside, a couple of areas are shaded space. And the shade comes from large banks of solar panels that sound like a large industrial fan. I was told it's due to movement of the panels to track the sun. It's white noise. But it's still noise.
