Very nice rv campground, clean and well maintained. We had a spot next to the creek which was spacious. It was April when we went so not a lot of people there. However they do have a lot of amenities for you and your kids, they have planned out events as well as Saturday s’more making with the other visitors staying at the resort. You can have your pets with you but must stay on a leash and you clean up after them. They have a dog park and a wash area for them. The bathrooms/showers are nice and clean. The laundry room is well maintained and clean. There aren’t any fire pits the sites and no shade yet since the park is still fairly new. We will definitely make plans to go back and visit.
The 1.2 mile hike up the mountain was definitely worth it, When you get to the top. The view at the observation tower was amazing. If you go on a day with great weather you may be able to see all 7 states. There are restrooms and plenty of places to stop and take in the scenery while trying to catch your breathe.
Quiet area to get out and stretch your legs. Has bathrooms if needed. We went the mill was closed so we just walked up to it and checked it out. I would love to make it up one day when it's open.
The family and I stop by every time we are in Cherokee. The Rangers inside are very informative inside the visitor center. Plenty of souvenirs to look through and buy. Nice porch with rocking chairs to sit and hand out until the elk come through or just enjoy the beautiful mountains, the historic farm behind it is also a plus. Take a walk thru the farm and imagine the days of our ancestors, you can even take a walk by the river on the way back up from the farm.
Great place for the kids to play in the water. Came last year to our little cousins birthday party and it was a blast. Several pavilions with grills along the park. Also has bathrooms. Has parking on both sides of the river however it gets packed pretty quickly so I would get there early. Alot of places to hang out with your family whether your fishing, swimming or walking around. Don't forget to check out the bamboo trail it was pretty neat as well.
My husband and his family have came here for years, he and I have made it out own family tradition to bring our kids up to camp during the summer and we love it. Very laid back, right on the river. We have never had an issue staying here at all. Very close to everything including the Casino. And Wendy's is at the top of the hill. We always take the kids up for a frosty on out last night camping.
Our family enjoyed camping at Pirateland. We used a tent and was pretty comfortable for the most part. They have loads of things to do with your little ones. And your not far way from some of the main attractions. This is definitely one of our favorite spots.
The view from the top is amazing, we go here a couple times a year its in our backyard. Great place to hike the falls with your family or If you cant hike there is a side road you can drive to the top.
