We stayed at the Stanley Hotel during June 2013 for a family wedding. Just staying at this grand old hotel was treat. The accommodations were nice, although the room (in the main building) did not have air conditioning. Between no air and our fourth floor room facing the west, the evenings were very warm.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Whether you believe in the paranormal or not, I highly recommend the Night Ghost Tour. It combines the general history of the Stanley with the hotel's haunted history. Our tour guide told my wife and I about paranormal experiences she had in our room.
