One of my favorite things on our Route 66 trip! Got some tamales from the truck in the parking lot. Brought our dog and had a great pit stop!
Got here really early in the morning, had a great breakfast, although the restaurant did smell-maybe a homage to the name? I had to have my husband order my meal cause I just couldn’t bear to say the actual roadkill name but still a fun kitschy place and a good place for breakfast
Ok so it’s a fun little place for the signs to take pictures of but the couple shop owners were soooo rude! We got a couple postcards, took our pictures and got out of there.
Cool thing to see while driving by, great kitschy photo op. It’s in the Whole Foods parking lot!
A really interesting and cool place to learn about the California Railroad and the railroads across the country. There are many old trains and trains you can actually get on to take a look around. Don't got on the weekend, way too many little kids.
I love quirky things I just had really hoped there would be more information about Yo-Yos and the history of it etc. it was more like someone's collection of yo-yos than anything else. I mean if you're in Chico, check it out but don't make a special trip for it. It's very tiny and in the back of another store. Still cool just not worth a specific trip unless you are REALLY into Yo-Yo's.
Free! Very tiny, lots of surfboards packed into a tight space. Don't make a special trip for it but if you are going to be visiting Santa Cruz have a look and then watch the surfers below!
Really pretty, really cool! Can be very windy so be sure to bring a blanket or sweater and beware of the strength of the water especially around the cove.
Just an OK beach, nothing spectacular.
So much fun! Prices are a bit high but you're right next to the ocean so it's worth it! Watch out for bums before and after park is closed since you can walk boardwalk after hours.
