This spot on the Roadtrippers map doesn’t look accurate for the falls. You have to go south of the Hyalite Reservoir and start the trail by the Palisades Falls Picnic Area.
One of our favorite campgrounds! The people are friendly, the lake is beautiful and the camping is relaxing. There is limited cell service (which I think is a plus) but if you go stand up by the shower house you can get texts and maybe calls. The playground is perfect for all ages, the lake has many spots for shore fishing and is also shallow in areas for swimming (besides the cute little beach). Kayaking (bring your own) & boating are great and camping right in the lake is a must for the sunset view!
Great place to stop and grab some fuel for your ride and bait for Lake Eau Claire fishing, or any of the numerous little fishing spots around. Don’t forget the delicious ice cream!! I stop just for that sometimes too.
