Beautiful views of the city any time of day! You'll want to bring comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking, but it's easy to stop and take breaks at all the different beaches. Each one has a bit different vibe and view. Always crowded in the summer.

Located right in the heart of downtown, Halifax's Public Gardens offers a lovely reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city life taking place just a street away. Offering just as stunning views on foggy Maritime days as sunny, this is a must see no matter what season or weather.
A beautiful ode to what Detroit once was, and what it now is. The Packard Plant once manufactured luxury cars and now sits vacant, plights by vandals and thieves. Structurally unsafe, but certainly worth driving by.

An excellent place to bring friends when they come for a visit! A large menu heavily trending Lebanese vegetarian, with great meat options as well. If you really want to start your day off right, get the potatoes for breakfast and don't skimp on the Turkish coffee-it's not only delicious, but provides a fun table side experience as well! Make sure you get there early, too-the wait is usually pretty long, but always worth it!
Out of all the farmers markets I've been to, this place has a special place in my heart. Located near the Lincoln Park Zoo in the summer and inside the Nature Museum in the winter, Green City has the best of what the Midwest has to offer. It's an excellent place to stock up on pantry staples (beans, bread), fresh ingredients, and things you've never heard of. Not to mention-each and every farmer and purveyor is happy to help!
