This is a really pretty stop right off of I80. Nice place to stretch your legs. It is a simple historical marker with the train track. Great view of the windmills and farm land.
If you are traveling I80 W, turn left at end of ramp. It will be on the left about a mile down the road. Apple Map took us .5 mile to the right from the exit ramp- but not the right way- don’t follow it! Google Map took us right there.
Granted it is only a building with a placard and a sign recognizing it as the site of a bank robbery by Bonnie and Clyde, we found it a historical spot to visit. We took the short walk to the 104 building where Clyde walked from to the bank. Small town and we tried to picture what it looked like during the robbery along with why this place was chosen. Right off of the highway and took 10 minutes to drive/view/pics/leave.
This is 14 miles from the highway.
Great spot to meet someone to pick you up.
Located in the middle of a busy area of Chicago. There are people wandering in and out of the arrival area.
Also, no vending areas in baggage claim area so grab your water or food before before leaving the main terminal. I learned the hard way on this one!
Nice hotel to stay. It feels like a new hotel and very clean. It sits right in the circle of a shopping center. Lots of food and shopping opportunities.
Breakfast is not included in the room rate-$7.99 to eat at hotel. This was the only negative thing for me to point out, as I have stayed at Holiday Inn hotels for years and this must be a new policy.
