Fun Stop
A fun, free museum to marvel at all the different products Coleman manufactured. Also a time to stock up on your camping needs
A must see stop. Outside looks a little small but the experience inside is great. Similar to the Creation Museum in KY, but staff with an dedicated group of people who drive this ministry. Museum runs on the generous donations of their visitors.
A great look into the tobacco industry. Traces from the early settlement to the boom days of tobacco. Can self guide but plan to spend 2+ hours.
Thomasville Furniture is closed, but the chair is still in the center of town
$10 well spent. Many interesting and unusual cars to see. Freindly people and spend as much time as you like.
The original owner Gary and his wife have passed, but their daughter Barbara and her husband have stepped in. No nicer people around. He is a USMC vet and will show you anything you want to see. Great hospitality and a few Route 66 items to purchase
Great park to visit and gain a sense of how wood was petrified. Many large and small samples to look at, but do not take any from the park grounds. You can find samples outside the park or a business that sell them.
Not sure if it is the world's largest or not. Looks like it was created as a float for a town parade. Easy to miss if you don't look, use Google maps with address above.
A nice memorial to the men who did not come home from Vietnam
