Never have I ever met a chicken n' waffles I don't like. But this beats them all! The flavor combinations they have here are amazing! My favorite: gingerbread waffles with maple pecan shmear. The only thing that you shouldn't get here: their triple mac n cheese... leaves an odd tangy taste in your mouth. Stick with the waffles!
This place was such an incredibly unique space to stay in! It's just outside of downtown Atlanta, away from all the hustle and traffic. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating, and makes a damn good breakfast in the morning. It's a short walk to Grant Park and local restaurants and markets. We stayed in the Yellow Room which has a private balcony overlooking the backyard and goats. If it's not too hot during the summer it's wonderful to sleep out there!
One of the best seafood restaurants in Charleston. I ate here last spring while in the city for work. My boss and I stayed for almost 4 hours from drinks to dessert and every bite was delicious! The dim sum is amazing - we had lobster roll, pork belly, crab spring roll, and goat cheese panini, and split a bottle of white wine. On the expensive side, but the venue is beautiful and the wait staff was incredible- this makes for a nice night out on the town!
Best snowboarding in NC for sure! Not too far from Asheville, so it would be a perfect day trip in the winter!
Gorgeous place! I highly recommend going here during the winter time. They host the winners of the national gingerbread house competition during Christmas, and they're incredibly impressive. After you check out the winners, go have a drink from the presidents lounge or out on the terrace!
Would love to go here soon! One scene from my favorite movie, Shawshank Redemption was filmed here. Red discovered Andy's letter here, not in Fort Hancock, Texas.
Bald Head Island is a hidden gem in NC. Only accessible by ferry, they only allow golf carts on the island! Not overdeveloped, like some NC beaches have become. Old Baldy Lighthouse offers a great view of the entire island. I dream of having a house here one day!
Always a quirky, fun photo op when visiting downtown Asheville!
The Biltmore was used for Richie Rich's house and as a kid moving to Asheville, I was so excited to tour his place. A few years down the road, I worked for a wedding planner and saw a lot of gorgeous weddings take place both at the Estate house and the Inn. The wine tasting at their winery is fun and I highly recommend doing a candlelit tour during Christmas here, so beautiful! A must see when visiting Asheville.
Lived in Asheville for 12 years and visited almost every summer. It can get pretty busy and a little slippery waiting in line. Wear water shoes and get ready for an awesome natural slide!
