Nice, relaxing drive with scenic stops
Went in the spring. The waterfall was a steady stream. Nice and relaxing. If it were a little warmer it would be nice to swim in.
Rock house is a must see in Hocking Hills State Park. The hike to it is easy. And the views from inside the Rock house are well worth it.
Ash Cave is an amazing site to see. Very accessible and easily walkable. This is also the most populated stop in the Hocking Hills area. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was even a wedding going on. Very cool, but if crowds in nature aren't your thing try going on a weekday.
Cantwell Cliffs was my favorite stop in Hocking Hills. It's less populated which is nice and the rock structures are massive. There is also a good amount of hiking.
One of the seven wonders of the modern world. See it and you'll understand why! Truly amazing.
Beautiful hiking and freeeeeee
Very cool. And totally free, which is nice. The cemetery is HUGE and also has several other famous graves including John Wilkes Booth.
I went during the off season (Early October). I really enjoyed it. I'm sure it gets packed and overwhelming during the summer but it was a great way to spend the day. Even on an off day there was so much to do.
Assateague Island is stunning. Every inch has a view.
It's also completely drivable, which is a bonus. They have scenic stops where you can park, and get out to hike a trail, or walk along the beach.
Wild horses also live on the Island.
