Beautiful historic grounds. Can go and walk around, open to the public. But try to take a tour if you can. Absolutely gorgeous inside.
This place has kinda gone downhill in recent years. However, they are making conscious efforts to restore the zoo. There is a lot of history here and they have a great children's section. I would reccommend.

Busy but worth it. Go on a weeknight for the crowds to be lighter. It's a FANTASTIC taste of Baltimore during the holidays. A true holiday tradition. Park, get out and walk around. You'll be able to see more and you can walk into some of the people's houses. One guy's house is a complete art gallery you can walk in and meet him. YOu wont want to miss it!
Very quiet classy place to enjoy a drink!
Go visit Edgar Allan Poe's grave in the back of the graveyard. Even during the day, this place is creepy and feels like you are back in history. Everyone should go at least once!
If you are looking to experience Baltimore, this is the place for you!
