“Serious foodies” seeking “interesting” “farm-to-table” grazing praise this “innovatively simple” Inman Park American where chef-owner Robert Phalen (Holy Taco) serves a “whimsical” menu that includes “lots of meats” and “incredible pickled vegetables”; decor that’s heavy on antlers and taxidermy fits with the “quirky” vibe, and though a “perfect fit” for some, others shrug it’s “not for everyone.”

The white trash dog or trailer park dog or whatever the hell it's called is where it's at. Shit's delicious. You can't go wrong with Grippo's BBQ chips.
This is my favorite brunch place on the West Side of Cincinnati. The exterior is completely unassuming- you could pass by this place and never know it- but you'd be sorry you did. I've never had a bad thing here. It's just all outstanding. Some of my brunch favorites include: the Italian Eggs Benedict, the Southwestern Crepes, the Unforgettable French Toast - and I start every meal off with the donuts- you just have to.
I've never stayed here myself, but the courtyard is a perfect place to enjoy a drink and listen to the live music they usually have.
It's actually a really lovely place and has so many things to explore.
This is supposedly where the Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, is buried. Be sure not to miss visiting her grave and make sure to leave your mark (inconspicuously) - so she may grant your wish- or something like that.
My favorite part of staying here is taking the nature trail to their almost secret beach on Dauphin Island. The bathroom facility is nothing to write home about, but with the kind of beach access it offers- camping here is well worth it.
An awesome place to visit if you're into history- however, I would recommend not visiting during the dog days of summer- as my family once mistakenly did during our vacation in Gulf Shores. The heat was ungodly.
