Reminded me a lot of a little slice of Rome in rural Kansas. Extremely beautiful, and a straight shot right down the street from the highway exit. Cannot fathom how this was built before modern technology - the marble pillars alone are massive, let alone the rest of the architecture!
BEAUTIFUL church. We stayed in St. Louis and stopped right before heading out in the morning, which happened to be 20 minutes before the 11am service. Would have stayed longer and asked about the history but didn't want to disturb those attending. Worth the stop.
Pretty neat stop. There is a dedicated parking lot right in front, a couple benches to rest, and a guest book to sign. Snapped some photos under the canvas and headed back out on the road! Glad we stopped here.
LOVED stopping here. The town is one tiny little block, a Memories Museum, little Cafe, 5-6 other shops, and a tiny, pretty, little park. Great to stretch your legs and grab a funny photo with Paul. We went into the Cafe for a quick bite and they were SO friendly and welcoming! The Memories museum is pretty quirky and cool to see as well.
