Bridge is 1000 feet across and 650-ish feet down from the bridge to the river. Worth a stop.

This is a must do stop. Plan on spending a little time, you will never be able to grasp how cool this place is in the pictures. Do not be in this part of the country and miss this stop. If you have kids, start at the gift shop and get the plastic sleds and the wax. You will leave having experienced something profound with exhausted kids. Bring the camera. Bring the dog on a leash. No camping in the park. Amazing sunsets. My 12 year old said it was his favorite stop.

Nice little stop. The store is full of over priced tourist stuff but the tour was great and every employee was kind and helpful . The ice cream is blue bell and you can’t beat that. There was a pressed penny machine at the back of the store. Stop and stretch your legs here.

This is not just a stop on a road trip, this is a worthwhile trip in its own right. Most people tour the caverns in about 2 hours. But don’t rush this one. This is an experience you are going to want to take your time with. Photography is allowed in the caves but it’s a challenging lighting situation. You can hike down the 720 feet through the natural entrance (and back up if you are intrepid) or take the elevators one or both ways. The cave is a consistent 57 decrees but you are hiking it so it feels good with just a T-shirt. If you bring a black light some of the rocks are florescent. This is an absolute bucket list, must do.
In the summer there is a bat flight at sunset. It’s pretty awesome. No pets, but good handicap access. It was closed due to COVID until just recently but the amphitheater is open now (June 2021)
The park itself is beautiful. Take advantage of the roadside turnouts for amazing views and historical information. Watch for the lizards that race around and millipedes with orange and yellow stripes.

Free and delightful. We are animal lovers and we were able to sit on the ground and let them come up to us. They like corn and peas. We sat still on the side where there was no wall and they would come within a couple of feet of us. We got great pictures. They are so funny with all of there little social behaviors. Worth a stop.

It not worth going out of the way for, but if you’re driving by anyway slow down and you can see the only structure that remains is the old courthouse which has been converted into a private residence.

So I didn’t expect much from this, so that might have influenced how much I liked it, but I really did enjoy this stop. It was a small little museum. There were no other tourists the day we arrived and it was raining and they let us borrow an electric golf cart. To get to the parts we couldn’t reach by car. My 12 yr old son enjoyed it as well.

This is the best place to learn to ski or snowboard. There are several easy slopes. It’s reasonably priced and they blow snow when nature doesn’t provide. They have a live slope cam and the people are super helpful and friendly. We rented a cabin and crammed 6 people in it (2 sets of bunk beds and a king bed. The couch pulled out as well). We never ran out of hot water due to the tankless water heater. We’re thinking of making this a family tradition. Next time we’re staying in a yurt.

Closed due to COVID. You will not get close to the Pueblo. There is talk in town of a possible opening before Christmas 2021 but the official statement is they plan to reopen January 2022.
