My family did a road trip vacation this year and the Thunderbird Lodge was our first stay as we drove west through SD. Friendly service, they got us booked for the night with a discount, and our room was fresh and clean. Im personally a fan of the old style motels with each room having its own door that goes right outside. This lodge seems to be in good condition and is staffed by good folks. We will look to stay here again when we are in the area!

We did a family vacation for a 9 year old and a 9 month old and made sure to stop by. The whole park is lovely to drive around and there are many paths. The shop is also great, my 9 year old finally found some things to spend his savings on!
