Got a great tour of Bear River State Park after stopping in Evanston for an overnight auto repair on my way to California. Evanston City Councilman Christine Thatcher, who also owns the repair shop, was an AMAZING person and gracious tour guide, helping me get a room at the local inn, taking me to a local Rotary Club meeting for lunch with the locals, then showing me the impressive Bear River State Park, where buffalo and other wildlife casually sauntered around in the very sunny, but crisp Fall air. I'll forever remember this park, and the wonderful people of Evanston, because of my new friend Christine.
