Run down and dingy. I did not feel clean here and the room smelled so bad. I think they repainted and the fumes were awful. Did not even attempt the breakfast.

This place has such history from dinosaurs to ancient puebloan people to Route 66. Very interesting and beautiful scenery. Start out early because it got pretty hot. If you have kids do the Junior Ranger program. Ask for it at the visitor centers or rainbow museum. Kept my son engage and he thought it was cool to get a badge and patch for completing.

Check out the short film that talks about the history of the park. And the cafe has really good Frito pie! I was very surprised at how good it was.

If entering park from the south entrance do not stop at the two buildings that say museum on them. They are not the museum! Just a tourist trap with expensive items to buy. Keep going to real museum. It was small, but has some cool fossils and skeletons. Do the trail in the back to see "Old Faithful". The museum has a cute spot where kids can "dig" for fossils without getting dirty.

Nice and clean. Pool room burned my eyes from the chlorine, but was nice. Breakfast was decent. My son enjoyed the free cookies.

Cute place. My husband really enjoyed the fish while I thought the pulled pork was good but lacking something. And yes I practiced "safe pork and put a condiment on". But still needed something. Friendly staff.

Stopped here mainly to try a fried bread taco, but I could find the food. So we just looked around. A lot of souvenirs and there was a lady making a Navajo rug.

Super hot when we went. 107 F! But good views of the river and a good spot to stretch legs.

Gorgeous views. More mountain climate and less crowded which was a nice change from the South Rim. The lodge has great views from the patios where I enjoyed the "Teddy" Bear from Rough Rider saloon. Very relaxing. Good and faulty easy hikes from lodge to see more view points. The cabin we stayed in is very basic and has no air conditioning. It got pretty hot, but was doable in June. Also it was pretty noisy. Can hear the other people in adjoining cabin and the golf carts that were around. But it is a gorgeous place.
