Yes it is busy, but the view is amazing. Be prepared for tons of people, but don't let that deter you. I am happy I made the stop.

A MUST SEE! All the way at the top, you have the most amazing views! I got a Lyft from my hotel in San Francisco on the other side of the bridge and all the way to the tippy top of Hawk Hill. I will always remember this view for the rest of my life. Once at the top via car, there is a path to the overlook via foot that is a little steep, but so worth it for what you see from there. Of course it is windy and was a little chilly, but the wind was in my favor as I walked all the way down this hill and back over the bridge. If you have an opportunity, do this!! There is a trail on the side of the road that leads all the way down. My absolute favorite thing I did on my trip.

One of my favorite places I stopped at in San Francisco. Absolutely amazing!!! It is free to walk around and only a 10 minute walk to Crissy Beach. Do not miss out on this gem!

This beach is a must see!! The negative reviews I read were surprising. Yes it will be windy there...you are literally on the ocean..and if you read about San Francisco, its pretty much always chilly so bring a jacket. Swimming is also not advised, this is not Florida where it is hot and has warm water. The water is freezing and there are rip currents. We saw a few people swimming without wetsuits, they were not in for long and they did not go in deep. Now as for nudity, it is allowed, but I did not see any. It was too chilly for that. But I am giving this beach a 5 star. AMAZING views. A great place to relax in the sand and watch a great sunset. Also not a far walk from where you park. (If you have kids, keep the nudity aspect in your thoughts that you could see it)

The walk to the beach is a major hike. Not being from the area, I didn't know what to expect, but I had an Lyft drop me off near the opening which is by a busy road. It is a loooooong hike down and when I say down, I mean steep stairs with no railings. We only made it about half way down because we knew our limits of probably not going to make it back up but the views are so worth it. If we were in better shape, I would have gone to the bottom! This is definitely worth the stop to see, even if it is still from the top.

The history is amazing! Be careful when buying tickets as there is only one place that sells them (Alcatraz City Cruises). Don't get scammed! You also want to plan about 3.5 or more hours. The boat ride there and back are 20 minutes each and you want to spend a few hours on the island. Amazing views, great history, a must see when in San Francisco.

I loved it! Is it a tourist trap? Yes. Is it still worth it? Also yes! I spent about 5 hours there and that was plenty. It's a beautiful area to see with tons of restaurants and shops. The sea lions are a must see on pier 39. Don't spend your whole day, but make sure you stop!

Any time of year, you have to make the trip up to the tower. It's an amazing view! Having a look at all of Duluth at the top is amazing during the day AND at night! You have to go at night also to see the bridge lit up! Every time I'm in Duluth I make a trip up there. It's also cool to see the ships out in the distance!

Do you love the sound of train horns like me? Well you will hear it a lot! I think they said 18(?) roads we had to go through so they sounds that horn a lot! (If you have a small child and they don't like loud noises, I would advise to sit at the back of the train-or ear plugs of some sort. It is loud and scary to little ones!)

What a welcoming place! They were so nice! Definitely staying with them again! Just a minute or two from downtown keystone, less than 10 from Mount Rushmore, its perfect.! The cabin was nice. The patio/deck was my favorite! Big, spacious and it had a picnic table that we put to major use. Want to talk about a view? You gotta stay here and see for yourself. I can't wait to go back!
