The cave is an experience in itself and it’s a beast little museum/shop. Great history. Highly recommend a stop.
Super cute stop if you are a literary fan.
There are cute murals all over town. Definitely worth checking out. Easy to drive or walk but it was 105F so we chose the car!
I think this is actually the Roswell Inn based on location and room pictures. The room is larger than most chain rooms, no carpeting which I love with dogs and as a germaphobe. It’s cute and has little alien touches and updates. I’d definitely stay here again.
Cute center with a little shop inside and a couple of cute photo ops. Definitely stop and check it out.
I am terrified of heights so this was kind of a dare with myself. My family was dying to go, so I sucked it up and we drove to the top.
I fell in love. It’s quite possibly the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. It had snowed earlier in the day (in June) and I don’t have words to explain the experience. It’s a majestic manifestation of nature. We got there at 4 and the snow plow literally followed us out of the park.
My mobility issues did not affect my enjoyment at all!!
It’s a beach. Without the ocean. The locals seemed to love it. Having grown up near a beach, it’s just meh for me.
As someone with mobility issues, I loved being able to drive the canyon and feel like I got to experience the beauty like everyone else. Would definitely return.
The GPS had a hard time finding the place so we wound up driving through some crazy off-road trails, but it was an adventure. We really wanted to get there as the sun came up and we did. My family walked it but it’s not at all accessible so all I could do was watch. That was disappointing because I had really been looking forward to it.
The church is beautiful. It’s a lovely setting. It’s a beautiful climb and I would definitely recommend for any Catholic. It didn’t have the same meaning for my Protestant friends. Just know if you have any mobility issues, you aren’t going far.
This is unlike any La Quinta I’ve ever stayed in. The regular rooms have full beds, not queens, and when you’re sleeping with a Great Dane that means one of you sleeps on the floor. (It was me.)
They were doing renovations while we were there. In a pinch, when no one else had room they did. Since we were with the kids and dogs it was better than my SUV. But my wife, dogs and I have slept more pleasantly in the car.
