Exceeded our expectations! Paved, level sites, fire ring, covered picnic area, plenty of space between sites, will return!
While the location is excellent, the RV sites were small and crammed in. The shower house was nice and well kept, tokens were given for 6 minute shower times per person per day. It was some of the worst camp etiquette we have ever seen: couple loose dogs and many owners not picking up poop. Spouse even stepped in some behind our RV.
3 separate campers using our site as a travel through route to and from other sites, with one even walking their dog in our site, even had to “advise” really young children that our fire pit was hot as we came out our RV and saw them playing in our site. Construction projects with new cabins and check in building progress.
As we understood, ownership change responsible for new water and electric supply to all numbered pads as well as new gravel. Mature hardwoods provide plenty of shade throughout. Families have plenty to do onsite and the lake is nearby with several campers making day trips with boat in tow. This was a pleasant unplanned stop for us due to the nearby state campgrounds being full for the holiday weekend. Nice playground for children and a pool onsite undergoing renovation. The miniature golf even seems to draw players from outside the campground. Open and all-season pavilions and a rustic stage. Fire rings with wood available onsite for purchase. Showers available but have served many years of bathers; perhaps one source to check if that is high on the list of requirements. All considered, it passed the wife test because she would come again.
