Kid friendly, easy to get to. Apple maps had this listed as Dragon Gulch (in 2016).

There are two possible parking areas. One is near Woods Creek Rotary park, and from there you walk (following trail markers) through the quiet local neighborhood about ten blocks before reaching the trailhead because there is nowhere to park near the start of the trail. We had lunch near the tiny bridge at the start of that walk, though the park just a block away had nice covered areas too if you wanted to picnic. The other option is Alpine Lane parking. That lot will start you closer to the wooded portion of the trail (no walk through town). Woods Creek Park had bathrooms, not sure what Alpine Lane had.

The trail is nice and peaceful, starts as a single lane in/out, then has a loop with a south or north option which meets up near the peak and then a short in/out climb to the top which overlooks the city. Nicely wooded with a wide trail path.

Climbs are easy, and there are lots of benches scattered throughout the trail. We saw a few families with very young kids, a couple on mountain bikes, and some older folks. A good hike for all ages. Our Sunday afternoon hike was sparsely populated, which was nice.
