Glen Elk is a treasure trove of you're a ghostsign fan. Look up and check out old painted signs, along with the Coca Cola Bottling Works building from 1914.

The sandwiches are steamed, so it makes the bread nice and fluffy, without turning soggy and warming it up nicely. This is usually a weekly destination.
Beautiful, historic track. While the F1 circus hasn't come to town in decades, the NASCAR circus has taken it's place. If you want the best bang for your buck however, check out the United SportsCar race, the Sahlen's 6 hour. You can get a full weekend ticket, go checkout what you want, and get plenty close to cars in the paddock.
...well...it's...gorge-ous.
Sorry...this big gorge has towering walls, waterfalls, rapids, and just plain natural beauty. It's a crushed rock path that can take you all the way to the top. If you go, wear shoes you won't mind getting wet, as water can pool on the trail. It's a long hike, but not too strenuous.
Pro-tip: Don't pay for parking. Look for street parking in front of town hall, or down the road more in the town itself. You're be walking up the gorge anyway, whats another few feet?

Depending on what BBQ style or cut you want, once it's gone, it's gone. Get there early to get your choice, or call ahead and see whats left. This is BBQ done right.
What else is done right? Their beer. Rooster Fish Brewing offers some of their best on tap.
They're not wrong. The views are spectacular, especially if you get there for sundown.
The sweet potato fries are surprisingly good, live music some nights, and the fish sandwich is no joke.
