The campground is not exactly quiet, as it is close to the road. This is a standard KOA but has a great location.

Lake solano county park campground didn't have much of a lake, more like a swamp. The sites are water front with wild peacocks. The bathrooms were clean but there were no doors and had cement flooring, which made for a cold shower in the winter.
The location provided perfect back country mountain road access over and down into the napa valley.
Campground didn't provide much activity, there were no trails. Just a campground along putah creek. The closest major lake is berryessa which is about 7 miles away which is recommended over the much smaller lake solano, which is in the opposite direction of the campground.

The lake was beautiful and stars at night showed like you wouldn't believe. Gets really windy so make sure you can stake down your tent properly. Gusts reach 40 mph regularly.
The staff was friendly, with a camp host that provided us information about the numerous hiking trails. The bathrooms were clean and heated.
Santa rosa made us fall in love with the southwest and we definitely plan to return.

The campground is mediocre at best. The bathrooms were dirty even though a cleaning crew came in each morning to hose the place down. The campgrounds were infested with red ants, with no privacy or shade. The beach was nice and the fishing was excellent, with many options for fishers,

Mountain biking is second to none! Even the absolute beginners course is a thrill to ride but it was quite challenging. The bicycle course is actually not connected to the campground. It is about 4 miles away across the highway.
4 mile campground has a creek that runs down one side and doesn't show on the map. It should because those sites are premium. The showers are adequate but clean. It is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Nashville.
The campground was loaded with hiking trails... Our cat, ollie, enjoyed walking on them very much. The park had coordinated many events, such as guided hikes and crafts for kids.

Such a meticulously landscaped state park with excellent paved roads. The bathrooms were very clean and were in a log cabin style building. As far as natural beauties go, DeGray rivals any state park in the country. The lake is huge and has crystal clear water. The beaches were clean and well taken care of. Security and staff were extremely helpful and polite. The park offers many events daily, (while I was there) including free kayaking lessons for beginners (kayak provided)! I wish I was able to spend more than one night. I will definitely be coming back...
