This place is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully quiet. It's completely off the beaten path making it a peaceful place to explore. The lake is a short, flat hike from the parking lot and the water is so blue and so clear, you can see all the way to the bottom. If you keep following the path past the lake and into the woods, you will eventually come in contact with the PCT!
Amazing sight, both up close on the walkway, and from above. If you want to see it from above, park at the Fairy Falls Trailhead and walk about half a mile down the trail. There'll be a path on the hill to your left that will lead you up. This path is VERY STEEP, but the view from above was well worth it.
Yellowstone should be a define travel destination for everyone! No matter what you like doing (hiking, swimming, sight seeing, exploring) there is literally something for everyone. You can't beat it's beauty and variety of landscapes within the park
Beautiful lake to hike! Boat shuttles across the river only start at 10AM, but the hike around the lake is well worth it, and if you get there early, you'll definitely have a better chance of seeing a variety of wildlife. The hike to Inspiration Point gives you incredible views of the entire lake and the water was breathtakingly clear. The hike from Hidden Falls to Inspiration Point is currently being reconstructed so you have to take a different (much steeper) route to get there, but you really can't beat Inspiration Point's aerial view of the lake.
Breathtaking mountain range. Landed in the Jackson hole airport which is right in front of the range. I could not get over how massive they were! Amazing views where ever you go. Definitely recommend hiking the lakes near the range and checking out Inspiration Point on Jenny Lake. But you really can't go wrong, any trail you choose will give you great views of the Tetons.
Really neat downtown area to walk around in. The arches are a lot bigger than I expected. There are actually four of them in the center. Jackson in general has a lot of character and captures the idea of a small town in the west. Loved it! Totally worth a visit.
