We love staybridge suites, this one, like all staybridge, was great.
Such a cool place. We picnicked by the water while watching for whales. No luck seeing whales, but it was still so fun and so pretty. A nice short hike with great views. I was really hoping to see orcas, maybe next time!
Couldn’t get a reservation so we showed up early and thankfully made the first ferry. San Juan Island was gorgeous!
Great hiking and gorgeous sites. All the water is the prettiest water you will ever see! Mind blowing and pictures don’t do it justice!

I honestly only went because I thought “you can’t go to Seattle and not visit the space needle”. But I was highly impressed the views were spectacular. It was much more than I expected!

It’s really cool to be able to say that you’ve been to a rainforest. Before moving here, I didn’t even know there was a rainforest in the US. But I don’t think going in summer was the best time to go. For one, it isn’t rainy, so you don’t get the full experience and it’s not quite as green. The main problem though was the crowds. It was so extremely crowded. We also didn’t do the big trail, we did the smaller Hall of Mosses hike. It was gorgeous. I can only imagine what the longer hike would be like.
I suggest going in off season, not July. Also, make sure you have bug spray, mosquitos and horse flies like crazy. We had insect repellent patches, but not enough.
So we didn’t make it to the actual falls. Our road tripper and AllTrails wouldn’t load. We made it to the first mini falls and thought that was it. That alone was gorgeous, so I can only imagine the major falls!
