Our kids, 3 and 5, had a great time! Sledded on the dunes in the late morning and then moved on to the river area to cool off. Super helpful that the park has rinse off stations as you leave!
Stained comforter and carpet. The TV would turn on, but it's cable box wouldn't. I asked the front desk and it's a known issue with no work around. The majority of the outlets don't hold a plug in them; they just fall out. We ended up unplugging the TV since it didn't work to charge our phones. The hair dryer didn't work and the temperature dial in the fridge was just laying on the shelf in the fridge. The one staff member I interacted with was friendly, but not able to provide help for issues. Seems like an overall management issue.
My family enjoyed the stay here. We started in one of their cabins with a full bed and bunk bed. So relaxing and such a beautiful view! My kids, five and three, really enjoyed the playground on site, not large just 5 items, and the restaurant had great employees with great attitudes. I'd say their food was over priced, but super convenient. We didn't encounter any ridiculous COVID procedures on our visit like a previous reviewer. Store is completely open like normal again.
My family loved this place! There are tortoises everywhere and they seem to be so happy to see people. So many reptiles, a hilarious parrot, and Emu's, which I wasn't expecting. Super worth the price of admission and great for littler kids, mine are five and three.
My family enjoyed this museum. My husband and I definitely wanted to spend more time looking at all the details, but unfortunately that's hard to do with a three year old and five year old. It was a great place for them to visit though because they have so much stuff for them to touch and really get involved in! We'll have to return when they're older so we can spend more time there.
