There is a "creek area" in front of the museum that is actually a fountain system with chlorinated water that kids can wade in. It is free and there are public changing rooms to dry off and change clothes. A great cool off spot on a long summer trip. Also try the Farmers Market about 3 blocks away for lunch and live music April- December Thurs- Sun.

Friendly doorman, convenient location to shopping, and large well appointed rooms. Beautiful lobby as well!

A very cool rock and gem store with everything from fossils to cut stones! Reasonable prices and super friendly staff! They had large chunks of "fools gold" for $2 that would thrill kids, to really nice gemstones. Also had neat "museum area" with interesting geological stuff.
