One of the greatest Midwest park cemeteries. Be sure to grab a nap from the office for interesting monuments and notable graves. There are also tours.

Supposedly haunted by a phantom funeral procession of horse-drawn carriages that are sometimes seen/heard at night!

This is a bit out of the way unless you make an intentional trip, but the countryside ifs beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Be sure to ask them for directions to Daniel Boone's gravesite, which is disputed because Kentucky robbed his supposed grave after he was buried here !

Gravesite of Eddie Rickenbacker (in back west side, sect 58) & James Thurber (flat maker in the front of sect 50). Nice large park-like cemetery with some interesting older stones. No maps or info for notable graves, office staff isn't interested in helping.
