Aztec Motel was our last overnight on a month-long road trip and it was perfect. The room was designed in a minimally artistic way with attention to details that made it feel more like an urban boutique hotel than the likely roadside motel. The owners were friendly, and their overall style in decor, music and amenities were uniquely modern. And the enjoy-there or take-it-on-the-road breakfast included a diversity of tastes and requisite morning protein! I look forward to staying there again and spending time in their common space that highlighted the owners' sense of creativity and comfort.
Perfect gem of a bed-and-breakfast very near Carlsbad Caverns... the spacious room accommodated four of us comfortably and was decorated with cozy touches that made us feel welcome and at home. The included breakfast was at a charming restaurant 1/2 block away and it was delicious!

Great cabins for the non-camper types... we stayed in one of the well-appointed cabins which was perfect for us. We had simple kitchen amenities, comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The picnic table on the porch was perfect for meals. We are not accustomed to campgrounds that accommodate big RV's so the gravel surroundings were a bit bleak to us. The staff made up for that by being friendly and offering great food suggestions. It was a great alternative-stay on a long road trip and the location was perfectly situated between Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns, two must-do's for any roadtripper.
