Historic bridge, worth a stop to walk on history. Nice little park and nature area to checkout on site too.

Such a cool old bridge. A must travel on if you're doing the Lincoln Highway tour.

Cozy little no frills place that has a strong vintage vibe (that's a nice way of saying it hasn't been updated in a while, but instead of being old, it's cool). Clean, affordable, and the owner is on property and is the quintessential story of coming to America to make a living. Think about staying here before you pick one of those other chain motels nearby.

Yes it's worth the trip, especially if you like old grand buildings.

Beautiful views. Lovely lighthouse. Not very crowded. Perfect place to waste a little bit of a summer afternoon walking around. Sunsets here are wonderful.

Stayed for 3 nights here, what a great stay. Friendly staff and owners were pretty much always around. All the rooms have a nautical feel with doors from an actual cruise ship as your rooms main entry. Great little spot to get away from the more touristy Alexandria Bay area, while still being close to the area's attractions.

At the right time of the day this place probably has some stunning views and photos to be had. During the rest of the day it is average and you'd be better off spending you time elsewhere in the park. Basically come for sunrise or sunset and hope it's not packed.

If it wasn't a mandate from the creation of this park to stay wild, it surely would be a National Park. Absolutely stunning. On par with Smokies, but less crowded. Start or end your hike along the Appalachian Trail here.

Have you ever been driving around in the middle of nowhere just before sunset and only get a cell signal long enough to find there's just one place to eat for miles? Well that was the case with River Drivers and I've never lucked out so much in my life. Great food. Friendly staff. Ton of room to roam before or after dinner. Great if you have kids. No worries if you aren't staying at the lodge, it's open to everyone. Stop by on your way out of Baxter State Park

If you get to see the tidal falls when the water is receding it is as beautiful as just about any part of nearby Bar Harbor NP. Don't miss this beautiful natural wonder.
