Oh my gosh, do it! The scenery the glacier water swimming, the wild life, all amazing! But camp inside the park! Our one regret is that we camped outside the park.
This is really a two-fer if you have kids. If the kids endure the local wineries, and we highly recommend Vezer Family Vineyards, then cap the day off with a tour the Jelly Belly Factory (JBF). That said, even for Adults it was fun!
The drive in and through will blow your mind. Speaking of mind, you have to set your mind to the fact that this is a different sort of park when compared to places like Zion or Carlsbad or even Yosemite, but it is amazing. It has been our favorite place to camp. In fact if you're camping here, camp at Patrick's Point State Park for amazing views and amazing sleep!
Plan a few days here. You can get lost in all there is to do. Absolutely one of the best places on earth. Do your best to avoid weekends, and find swimming holes and just absorb the beauty!
We love Vegas without kids. This time we took the kids with us, and rather than staying at our norm - The a Encore and/or Wynn - we stayed at the GN and were pleasantly surprised. Most of all the kids loved it and the rates were amazing.
Absolutely one of the if not the best park in the Southwest. Is #Epic and ordered well! The information was readily available and the visitor center was well done. Move slow, take it in, and enjoy! We have four children and the park's structure and accessibility of it made the trip simple.
Absolutely spectacular. We recommend trying (which may be difficult) to find a very quite place to be still and look out and contemplate. Take time to learn about it before you go in.
Loved it! One recommendation: if you have little ones, you may want to forego the natural entrance, by the time you get to the big room they may be too worn out to enjoy the rest.
