A really cool place, especially if you are into history. Fee is $9.50, but only $5.00 if there is an event at the church. You cannot go inside the church during the event, but have access everywhere else. Worth stopping by, but don't make it a destination unless you have special interest in Basilicas.

Monarch butterflies are only there during the winter season. Right now, it is just a walking path in the garden.

I have mixed feelings here.

My favorite part was the butterfly room. Although often crowded, it was somewhat serene and peaceful filled with pretty butterflies enjoying their afternoon lunch on fake and some real flowers. Another segment of the Conservatory I appreciated was the area with carnivorous plants. It is pretty neat to know they catch an insect as if they were animals themselves.

While the conservatory appears grand from they outside, inside there are only a few rooms. For San Francisco, it just does not seem enough. At the same time, the cost is only $8, so I can't really complain about the price.

Overall, it is an ok place to stop by if you have nothing else to do.

This place reminds me of Central Park, but on steroids. It is quite big and has areas where you can completely isolate yourself from the rest of the busy city. Central Park rarely can boast about that.

There are lots of amazing flowers, unique plants and scents. Every area is carefully manicured and is well-maintained. My favorite part was the front entrance: open field with groups of people just enjoying outdoors on the grass - peaceful and somehow trendy simultaneously.

Visit The Narrows, even if you decide not to go all the way. Bring water shoes, or you can rent them. Unbelievable experience!

Could take it or leave it. If you are a botanist, then it is a great place for you. Very small and hidden.

Can I say Magnificent? It is one of the most amazing places in the country, I think. There is silence and peace. Oh yes, and rattlesnakes. Plenty of signs around, so watch where you walk.

Absolutely awesome! There are prairie dogs right by the Ranch Store as well, much closer to the highway. Be careful driving in the areas where they live. Unfortunately, too many of them get killed by cars :(

Really cool place, especially if you are a movie buff. But even if you are not, this place is a great representation of 1800's history. Must visit :)
