Best time to visit here is near Christmas. They go all out with lovely lights, fountains decorated to the nines and they have a luminaria festival one weekend with tons of luminaria lining the walkways, people with hot cider and cocoa and lots of fun music.
This makes for a nice little getaway. We enjoy fishing, or walking around the area. It is very close to many very nice little restaurants and bars so if you aren't into "roughing it" you can come go fishing in the afternoon and then relax and tell fish stories over a beer or wine at one of the local places.
This is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and had easy access to public transportation from there as well. The restaurant was outstanding with some very creative small sharing plates and wonderful local ingredients. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable even if we weren't the best dressed guests. We traveled with a large group and the hotel did pretty good in getting us checked in quickly. Parking is likely a real issue but that is true throughout this area of Chicago. I wouldn't drive here unless you really need to.

We stayed in one of the little cabins. It was the perfect space for people who don't have tons of camping gear but still want to "rough it" The larger cot/bed was surprisingly comfortable and very solid.
This was still close enough to make visits into the Park very convenient.Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The fire pit made for a perfect opportunity to roast marshmallows after a long day out.
Bathrooms and showers were clean and easy to access.
We did get to hear some wolves our first night out which made me very happy to have nice solid walls around us while still getting the true Montana feel.
Wonderful little stop in town. Really enjoyed walking by the water especially after a very long drive.

Was surprised to find this on our way through Utah. Lovely building and grounds.We did not tour or visit as it was late in the day but would give it a shot if we were in the area again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. BBQ was very good and the hushpuppies with cinnamon butter were out of this world. I would never have thought to eat them with that if the gentleman at the counter hadn't suggested it.
Nice clean rooms. Easy access to and from the freeway and not too far from restaurants, theaters, etc.
