Extremely small parking lot. We were queued up down the entry road for quite a while to enter (and we went on a Thursday late afternoon). It is a private residence so you cannot enter the lighthouse. You can't even walk all the way around it. You have to go down 2 separate paths to see both sides.
It's pretty but you cannot enter the water here. It's a boat ramp into the public drinking water supply.
While it was a fairly calm sea today, it was fun to watch with anticipation as each wave entered the cave to see if this would be "the big one." Go 2 hours before high tide and be patient. The views are breathtaking regardless!!!
What a fantastic little spot! Clean and kitschy-- like staying in grandma's spare bedroom. Room was small but served our needs. They have a nice outdoor pool and the couple that runs the place were fabulous. Gave us tips on where to eat and when/where to go see MOOSE. And, we found them!!! So excited to see these creatures in real life. Would definitely stay here again and would love to stay longer nest time.
Really enjoyed our stop here. I was so happy to see that everyone seemed to adhere to the honor system since it was a self-guided experience-- including purchasing product! The syrup tasting was fun and I really learned a lot about the process of making maple syrup. Be aware-- this is on an unpaved road and up a bit of a hill.
Didn't stay here, just came to see where the famous fam called home. Meh. No real way to look around unless you were on a tour or a hotel guest.
Nice place, a little shabby around the edges if you know what I mean. Like it's clean and comfortable but just on the brink of needing to be spruced up. It was a nice stay. Breakfast was satisfactory but nothing special.
Do not skip this experience!!! So much fun and a fantastic way to see the Falls on both sides. Bottom deck, up front at the rail is a great view-- no need to cram in up top with everyone else.
Great stop over! They had a really nice breakfast. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again.
