Seriously one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip. We got into Badlands area and there were absolutely no vacancies. This particular evening there were no rooms from Enchanted Highway all the way to Rushmore. We were about to sleep in our car when we found this Motel. We were a little apprehensive because it is rough looking on the outside. (They are in the process of remodeling). The rooms are clean the towels are clean. It is no frills but was absolutely wonderful for the price and being an actual motel. The man who manages it is amazing and sweet. But the best part is the area around it. It is seriously a real life Radiator Springs. The old town died when the new highway went through in the s 70's. I would recommend this to anyone unless you are a 4 star Hotel person only. Bring your own food. There is a bar in this town and a gas station with vending machines.
This was actually more amazing than we expected. Stopped just as reason to get out of the car. The view was amazing.
Food was good. Atmosphere was fun and the wait staff wears skates. It was a fun way to do dinner.
The Sunfish is a cute photo opportunity but the view of the lake is the real attraction. We got there closer to sunset and were awe stricken.
This is now Tony's Bar & Grill. Very good food. Extremely friendly staff. Fast service and reasonable prices. If we lived closer we would probably come here quite often.
This is no longer here.
