Great food, friendly staff, sidewalk patio was a bonus - close to the freeway too!
Very nice hotel at a reasonable rate. Free/included restaurant breakfast was great. No hot tub tho, otherwise a 5.
Very well done! The family really enjoyed it.
Fun place for the family, even with young kids! We particularly liked that there's no 'entrance fee', you can just walk in and look around, bring in your own food if you like - no problem. It's clean and reasonably priced, good range of rides. We had a great time.
Very well maintained historical attraction, the grounds are beautiful and clean. The tour feels rushed, not enough time to really soak it all in. They say no photos or video allowed during the tour - I'm guessing because that would really slow down the tour time and people end up lingering behind... I'm sure it's not cheap to run, but it really is a bit too expensive. $33 for adults, $26 for kids. I think $25/$15 would be more appropriate. If the tour was more casual and longer I could see the current price justified. Still, we paid it and there's nothing else like it! Go see it once at least :)
This is not to say it's a 5-star hotel, but it fully lived up to its expectation. A slight disappointment was that the jacuzzi hot tub has been cemented over and the pool is not heated. We were pleasantly surprised with a discounted rate (walk-in midweek stay), the room was clean and the breakfast was very nice.
You have not had a breakfast/lunch sandwich until you've had one at O'Neill's! The sweet potato buns that these are built on are amazing. Thick and delicious, it's a two handed operation for sure, and a local favorite - especially of the fire fighters stationed around the corner.
