Another park sent us here and we loved the whole Western vibe. We woke up with a pronghorn in the front yard and bison down the road. Very nice people picked an excellent spot for us at the last minute.
Never thought I would say this, but we loved it. My 13 yo kept asking to stop and it became our primary destination on the North Coast. The place is straight out of a 50's road trip. Very "retro cool" according to the teenage travel agent.
There are seven huge display areas showing off planes from the Wright brothers until today. You could easily spend a day or more here. We only had two hours, but still saw all the planes and missiles. Really no time to read much. The older planes are fascinating and then there is the ten engine B-36 and B-2 bat wing. Don't miss the world of the steel-eyed missile men in the far gallery.
We stayed of a night as we headed East from the Black Hills. The staff and owner were very nice and the site/facility was well equipped and clean. It was a good place for a quick overnight stop.
Great dinosaur exhibits. Best sets showing different stages of development, from egg to adult.
