This gravel parking lot is 1/4 mile off I17 Exit for Rocks Springs. The Cafe is know for their famous pies, they also have a great outdoor entertainment area. For the entertainment, they have a overflow parking lot which is where I stayed. It was fairly quiet at far end of lot near desert line. They even have fire rings dispersed here & there.

There is a nearby "Desert Park" (?) has hiking trail, bathrooms, ball field, playground plus a sewer dump for $15.

The campground has approximately 50 sites. The buildings & playground are in need of maintenance. The Bathroom has showers & heated, updated tile, fairly clean. They have minimal staff and I used the honor system check-in as posted on office door. The RV sites are 40 - 70' long with 50 amp available, they are just close together, about 20' wide. They do have picnic tables at the sites, the tent sites are very nice with grass and some camping cabins.

Spaces easy in & out, gravel, clean area. I found laundry, check in area messy. Self serve with owner checking up. Grass & pool

I visited the arrived first week of March, there were patches of snow and road was muddy. This being the case, I parked at the first clearing on R side of road. There has been a lot of logging in the area, the negative is the openness and muddy roads, positive is the free scraps for firewood. This was recommended to me by the staff at visitor center, plus I remember seeing it on campedium. Since I did park in first space, about 1000' from road (4th ST from town) there is some road noise.

The main circle of sites with grass along side was full when I arrived. I parked in the "back" with Electric only site for $20. I still have access to showers & Laundry (only $1.oo to wash). Plenty of room for large rigs.

Large sites on gravel with cement curb to be sure you park in space and don't hit utilities. Some of the roads are paved. I would not recommend to go there if you have a dog. Crazy two page rules with multiple signatures and fees. They advertise dog park, however the dog park was open 9:00 am - 5:00 pm during the office hours. Cost is high for a basic campground, laundromat. No activities, no clubhouse, no pool.

I was in search of a place where I could bring my Dtr. & grandson while they visited me. I am a FT RVer and planned them to fly into Phx. from mid-west. My desire was a swimming pool, playground and dog park. I got pool and dog park, later found a local park with playground. The atmosphere is relaxed and very quiet guests. Majority of people are long term, park models, they were friendly towards me. The sites are close together and I was close to the road, last night there there must have been a accident on I17 and traffic was extremely busy.

Bonus there is ATV/UTV trails around and a "buggy wash". Also they allow mail to be sent.

I was immediately assisted upon arrival during COVID 19, staff approached my truck from safe distance and followed recommended CDC protocol. He escorted me to my site and gave some tips. This is adjacent to BLM land and I could walk my dog there off leash. The noise from 89 didn't bother me, quiets down in evening. I have a 38' 5th wheel and site adequate, long, just a little narrow.

Super WiFi, spaces are tight with terrace layout. They are upgrading pavement and electrical. Staff super friendly with escort to site
