We love to travel and camp! This was discovered 2 years ago when I got a wild hair to plan a 20 day summer western National Parks road trip for myself, husband, and then 10 and 7 year old kids. My 10 year old has severe special needs, so many people thought we were nuts to try this with 2 kids ...

We drove from Devils Town to Cody, WY for our trip into Yellowstone. This was not on our planned route, but when we started driving through, we were amazed at its beauty. This was by far our favorite part of our 20 days of driving. We are doing this leg of the trip again this summer, and I plan to map out a little more time for site seeing in Big Horn for sure!

This was a great stop! We stayed at the KOA at the base and did the hike around in the morning. Not challenging with kids and definitely worth it!

I wanted to stop, but we missed it. :) If you pay attention, you can still catch a glimpse from the highway. Worth a stop if you don't miss your exit.

Got this room last minute. The staff were all helpful, the pool was great, and the breakfast was good in the morning.

We were there when the weather was clear, and it was beautiful. The pictures we took from that day do not even appear real. Definitely worth a stop!

This was a great stop with kids. The board walk is easy to travel, and my kids loved it. There is constant smoke and a continuous wave the comes out of the wave. Just thinking that this rhythmic wave coming from deep within a cave has been routinely doing this for hundreds or years or more is amazing. Worth a stop for sure.

The room was very clean and cold. My kids enjoyed their pool. Would stay again!
